Overview
6 YEARS (12 SEMESTERS)
- 1 – 5 semesters: pre-clinical courses
- 6 – 9 semesters: clinical courses
- 10 – 12 semesters: full-time clinical practice in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics Gynecology, Psychiatry and one elective medical subspecialty in University Departments of Rio University Hospital in Patras. Students function by shadowing medical residents within the Department between 8.00 – 16.00 every working day and participate in night shifts at least once a week for 2-3 months in each course. Successful examination in 48 obligatory courses and 12 elective courses.
360 ECTS to be acquired
Possibility to learn the Greek language as part of the English Medical Program at the University of Patras

- Official Call for Applications: Published annually on the EMP website, outlining exact submission dates. Applications are accepted in separate cycles as follows.
- Round 1: November 1, 2026 – Application Deadline: December 1, 2026
- Round 2: February 1, 2027 – Application Deadline March 1, 2027
- Round 3: Clearance Round A Clearance Round may be opened to fill any remaining spots after the completion of the first two Application Rounds and the registration of selected applicants. In this event, the exact dates and terms will be detailed in a subsequent announcement on our website.
